Although oily skin can lead to clogged pores and increased formation and occurrence of acne, it can be said that it also has its benefits. Increased oil production helps protect the skin, and people with oily skin types, among other things, are characterized by the fact that their skin tends to wrinkle much less than usual. The key to success is to strike a balance between too much oil and maintaining the skin's natural moisture.
But how to do it? This is a good question that we have tried to answer. And these are they; what should you do and what should not do to make your skin look as healthy as possible?
Yes regular face washing. Every morning, always in the evening and of course even after exercise. However, resist the temptation to scrub the skin when washing your face - even when removing makeup. Scrubbing and rough rubbing just irritates the skin and makes the whole situation around oily skin even worse. It leads to significant drying of the skin and also to increased oil production.
Yes for the selection of quality cosmetic products. What exactly does that mean? Choose products marked "oil free" on the label, or those that contain non-comedogenic oils. These oils do not clog pores and include, for example, argan, mineral, sunflower oil or shea butter. Watch for the presence of these moments on cleansers, moisturizers and makeup packaging. Quality cosmetics for problematic skin does not contain these oils.
Not for aggressive cleaning agents. The last thing you need when caring for sensitive, possibly oily skin are aggressive cleansing cosmetic products. We include all products that work on the basis of oil or alcohol. They make your skin exactly what you want to avoid - it dries it, irritates it and disrupts its natural protective layer.
Yes for moisturizer. Definitely yes, you can use it every day. Even if you have oily skin, it is very important to use a moisturizer. In addition, if you want to save time and protect your skin from harmful ultraviolet rays, pay attention to the moisturizer containing broad-spectrum UV protection; ideally with a factor of 30 or more.
Yes sunscreen. Sunscreens can also help sensitive skin. They can prevent skin damage caused by sunlight. We are talking about premature skin aging, the formation of wrinkles, in the worst case, skin cancer. As a prevention against the formation of acne it is recommended to use preparations that contain zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. On the contrary, it is good to avoid creams containing fragrant oils.
Not for sleep with makeup on the face. You should always remove makeup from your face before going to bed. It seems to be the ideal tool for this purpose micellar water, applicable to all skin types. It is soft, but very effective thanks to the micelles - the micelles bind dirt and excess oil to each other, but leave the skin fresh, without any irritation.
